Country Breads of the World by Linda Collister & Anthony Blake

This is a book I’ve had in my culinary library for a long time. I don’t even remember where I got it but it’s my ‘old faithful’- the book I turn to when I need a great bread recipe. The title is no exaggeration either, it is a bread book from all parts of the world- Japanese green tea bread and dosa from South India are my favorites. The recipes also include the origin of the bread and sometimes highlights the bread baker. Breads run the gamut from simple yeast breads to breads that required a starter. This book is a treasure and one that will always be in my collection. Check it out here on
